Atlantic Avenue Adds To Resurrection With Opening Of MODULE-R

In the past month, Atlantic Avenue has continued active rebirth with PetSmart, FLOR and a number of promising new local boutiques—and as of Dec. 1, MODULE R, dedicated to “modular, reconfigurable and customizable modern design,” has joined the revolution, with its first retail outlet located on 141 Atlantic Avenue.

The upscale destination, which hosted a swanky opening Thursday evening, features gifts, home goods, children’s toys, furniture, jewelry, floor coverings, wall dividers and more. Owner Donald Rattner opened a five-month pop-up shop on Atlantic last November, and became enough of a believer in the neighborhood to become a Heights fixture. The store also offers its wares on website module-r.com.

    Gorgeous Scandinavian design stuff, for kids and adults. The sort of stuff I used to buy when I had more money and time, before someone invented the Internet.

    They held a big opening party Thursday night.
