#Hurricane Damage on Clinton Street

Hurricane Irene took its toll on 144 Clinton Street, the former Doctor’s Office (and Bohack Grocery Store for old-timers). The entire 2nd floor window frame has been ripped out by the storm and is lying in the front yard. The building has been unoccupied, so no injuries.

I don’t think there was ever a Bohack’s there. Are you thinking of Henry and Love Lane? Or maybe there is an older old-timer who can clarify….

  • bob wyckoff

How did the Wyckoff House make out in the storm?

Back in the 60’s…I lived down at 59 Livingston at the time.

this little building should be torn down and replaced by a copy of the house next door. There are plenty of old pictures that show the row intact.

The bohack’s I remember was on Henry st.near Love Lane. I lived at 140 Henry in the 60’s, and it was across the street.

Yes. Bohack’s was on Henry and Love Lane where CVS is.

There WAS a grocery store on that corner when we moved a block away in 1958. It was NOT a Bohacks. (We all know there was a Bohacks on Henry and Love Lane.)

Maybe Peter Reeves. But definitely not Bohack’s.
