If you’ve ever shared a knowing glance with a stranger on the Lex, only to have them get off the train before you had a chance to start a conversation or collect an email address, you may have a second chance to connect. The New York Transit Museum (Boerum Place & Schermerhorn St) will host a Valentine’s Day Party on Monday, Feb 14 from 6-8 PM, featuring poetry, music and artwork by author and artist Sophie Blackall of the Missed Connections blog, illustratrating many of the hopeful messages posted to the Craigslist Missed Connections forum. Admission is free, as are refreshments from Brooklyn Brewery and 5th Avenue Chocolatiere. RSVP is requested but not required.
