Yet more super achievements for the Park Planners. Regina simply needs to keep up the detailed reports on our amazing park which, if they gave Nobel prizes for park planning, this would surely be it.
One quibble, for Heather: Pls get a plug in lapel mike or something like it so that your audio interview is cleaner. It is not fun listening to the heavy background city sounds which are just a tad below Regina’s voice. I think such mikes can be had for a reasonable sum at JandR.

    Excellent! Many thumbs up!

    Regina’s the best.

I’d love to know more about the actual mechanics of the water capture/cistern process.

I’ve been waiting for this park since 2001. I thought it was gong to be a nice park. I also thought my property value would increase. But, the park is so much more than I expected it to be. I actually go there and make use of it. I love to see that people enjoy this park and most people in the area are not very effected by its existence. People like Regina Myer make neighborhoods a community. You can hear it in her voice. She loves this park and cares about it’s construction. People like Regina are few and far between. I wish I had someone as dedicated to their job working for me.

I suggest that you contact Jeffrey Sandgrund, BBP director of operations, at He should be able to provide info on the mechanics of water-capturing and the in-ground cystern system.

If all we had was the beautiful park, it would have been enough.
If all we had was the wonderful playgrounds, it would have been enough.
If all we had was the promise of new courts, fields and biking/running paths, it would have been enough.

And now to learn of the park’s sustainability values…this is really amazing. Congratulations.

This park just gets better and better. These people have done a wonderful job so far. I am astonished at the quality of the effort.

Real sustainability however will come from continued investment. If we really want this wonderful park to be completed we will have to accept that commercial development will have to be included.

I also think that room going to be made for more cars on the BQE in the near future which is going to clip some land from the park so enjoy those views while you can.
