Atlantic Avenue is Animal Central this weekend, with three events for folks of all ages, starting tonight.
This evening at the Cat Cafe, enjoy a screening of Harry and Tonto. The Cat Cafe is run by Brooklyn Heights Animal Welfare Coalition, and proceeds from its events support the adoptable cats at the cafe and the organization’s extensive rescue and education work.
The movie begins at 7:30. Buy tickets here, watch a trailer here.
On Saturday morning at the cafe, join the resident felines for a “Stretch and Snuggle” class at 9:30 am. Tickets and details about the class are available here.
The Cat Cafe is at 149 Atlantic Avenue, between Henry and Clinton.
And when you’re done stretching, head across the street to check out Best Friends’ “Adopt and Shop” event at Urban Outfitters from 10 am to 3 pm. Adoption fees begin at $25. Details here.
With kitten season already in full swing, rescues and animal welfare groups are seeking adopters and foster homes. All of these events offer the opportunity to sweeten your life with a permanent or temporary furry addition to the family!
