It’s gettin’ it’s gettin’ it’s gettin’ kinda hectic… As the season’s first legitimate snowstorm hankers down over the Heights, the early morning rain turned to snow and sleet by late afternoon. Thanks to increasing wind, those little pellets of ice feel like needles blowing sideways.
The National Weather Service has issued a blizzard warning for the five boroughs through 1 p.m. Saturday, as afternoon snow mixes with sleet and rain before changing to heavy snow after sunset. Then: 1 to 2 inches per hour with wind gusts up to 50 mph. In all, 5-8 inches of snow are forecast.
Another overblown, overhyped, faulty forecast? Time will tell…
