The Face of Identity Theft

Have you seen this man?

According to cops, he may not be what—or who—he seems. On June 16th at 12:13 p.m., he entered the HSBC bank at 200 Montague Street, filled out a withdrawl slip, and received an unspecified amount of currency. Problem is, he was using personal information stolen from a resident of the other end of the borough.

If you have any information, the NYPD asks that you call CrimeStoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS. As always, all calls are strictly confidential.

I just learned that my cc was fraudulently used for the 4th or 5th (maybe 6th) time this year.
    Craziness!
Why is this so common and can anything be done about it?
Aggrivating and a waste of time!
Has this happened to anyone else with such frequency?
