It’s been almost a year since Bevacco opened and lifted the “Corner of Cranberry” curse that has haunted many eateries at 60 Henry Street for years. The Wall Street Journal published a short piece on the restaurant this weekend:

Bevacco [60 Henry Street] continues its Corner of Cranberry curse killing this week by adding lunch service. Mrs. Fink, Baby Fink and I enjoyed a great meal yesterday afternoon. Uova pizza, Bevacco burger and meatballs were super-fantastic! And with breakfast service coming soon, Bevacco should wash away memories of 60 Henry’s “bad old days.”
Our Karl Junkersfeld is such a man about town that the owners of Bevacco [60 Henry Street] invited him to attend their “soft opening” Thursday night. Karl’s kvelling and saying that the notorious Corner of Cranberry is no longer cursed. This…is a good thing. His video report after the jump.
Chris Fohlin (@cfohlin) tweets us this photo inside the soon-to-open Bevacco at 60 Henry Street. Looks like a comfy bistro setting much like the new owner’s other establishments.
The folks at the Brooklyn Paper used “reporting skills” and called the owner of Bevacco, the new eatery slated to open in the cursed Corner of Cranberry/Busy Chef space at 60 Henry Street. UPDATE: Sadly, it appears now that the Wine Bar at 50 Henry Street, the best by far of the lot, has closed, according to the Brooklyn Eagle. With news that three four of the four “Corner of Cranberry” businesses have been shuttered (looks like the liquor license for the 60 Henry businesses expires tomorrow), we’re […]
The space formerly known as Uncommon Grounds and touted to become UCG has unveiled itself as the Wine Bar at 50 Henry Street. The Brooklyn Eagle reports: Brooklyn Eagle: Corner of Cranberry Gets Social: Amanda Green, general manager, does admit to having put a lot of thought into what was going to work. “We wanted […]
Uncommon Grounds at 50 Henry Street has announced it will undergo renovations including the addition of a “full kitchen”. The coffee shop, which opened earlier this year appears to be the most trafficked of the revamped “Corner of Cranberry” establishments. Its coffee and free wifi have received many kudos from neighbors.
