On Tuesday evening, April 28, at 6:30 the Brooklyn Historical Society will present a lecture by Stephen Scanniello, “Roses: Tracing the American Beauty’s Roots in NYC.” Mr. Scanniello is Curator for the Peggy Rockefeller Rose Garden and the President of the Heritage Rose Foundation. Admission is $10, or $5 for BHS or Green-Wood members; buy tickets here.

On Wednesday evening at 6:00 BHS will play host to

the Brooklyn Jazz Hall of Fame Ceremony as part of the 16th Annual Central Brooklyn Jazz Festival, New York City’s longest continually running grass roots festival dedicated to jazz.
