Subway service to be restored tomorrow morning

Service Plan for Monday Morning Subways: With limited exceptions, service will resume across the subway system at 6:00 a.m. Monday morning. Service will be less frequent than normal, and customers should expect longer waits and more crowded trains. Frequency of service will improve over the course of the day.

MTA restores bus service in Brooklyn

Beginning 5:30 pm, limited bus service is being restored in Brooklyn on a route by route basis, with the exception of the B41, B43 and B62 buses. More tree damage reported

“Phyllis”, who lives in the north Heights, has lost a London Plane tree. She reports: grew this one from a seedling that took root in my backyard about five years ago, must have blown in from the park across the street. Will miss the shade, screening and wonderful sense of a Brooklyn treed back yard.

Just now – tree down on Sidney Place

A 50-foot tree in the back yard of 34 Sidney Place was just uprooted by the post-Hurricane wind gusts and came crashing down on the back side of the building, causing some minor damage to the fraternity at 36 Sidney Place. Fire Dept is on the scene.
