I love this place. I will often shop here on purpose just to avoid the big box stores. They have a great selection of stuff, in a perfect-sized space that isn’t overwhelming. (Plus on occasion they’ve helped me translate a Yiddish word or two… where else will I find this combination of assistance?)

I wonder if the several steps up from sidewalk level were also a factor in limiting access.

I’m sure some offices on Court Street as well as some local residents will miss them. As for me, I rarely went there in recent years.
