Subway Service Alerts: Brooklyn Heights And Vicinity

The 4 train follies continue this long Memorial Day weekend. From 11:45 p.m. Friday, May 27 to 5:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 31 there will be no service in either direction at the 4/5 platforms at Borough Hall, as 4 trains will terminate and originate at Bowling Green in Manhattan, and 5 trains do not serve Brooklyn on weekends. During the same days and hours Brooklyn bound F trains will be diverted to the A/C line from West 4th Street to Jay Street, so there will be no service from Manhattan to York Street in DUMBO. Use the High Street station on the A/C line and walk downhill, or take the train to Jay Street and change for a Manhattan bound F back to York. To get to Brooklyn from the LES stations on the F line: East Broadway, Delancey, 2nd Avenue, and Broadway/Lafyette, take a Manhattan bound F to West 4th and change there to a Brooklyn bound A, C, or F. From Tuesday, May 31 to Friday, June 3, each night from 11:15 p.m. to 5:00 a.m there will be no G train service in either direction between Hoyt-Schermerhorn and Church Avenue, but A and F trains will provide alternative service.

For planned service changes that may affect travel on other parts of the system, either during the weekend or the following week, see MTA Info or The Weekender.
