Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks on East River Again This Year

Brooklyn News 12 reports that the Macy’s Fourth of July Fireworks, which had been moved to the Hudson River side of Manhattan for several years, but returned to the East River side, facing Brooklyn Heights and DUMBO, last year, will be on the East River again this year.

    but where on the east river…sometimes it is up by 50th street, which makes it not visible from BH?

    From the NY Times yesterday:

    This year, there will be five barges, according to Macy’s, which produces the show: four between 23rd and 37th Streets in Midtown Manhattan and one double-barge below the Brooklyn Bridge.

    great…thanks…i wonder if that means it won’t be centered to the promenade and will focus more to the right of the bridge.

    Well either way…let the crowds begin!
