Queue the NIMBY complaints about film production in our neighborhood in 3, 2, 1…

Totally agree. New York is driving out the middle class. We need good paying, middle-class jobs in this city so working stiffs can support families. That being said, can they get those jobs in other neighborhoods? Parking my SUV within walking distance of my +$1 million pad is very challenging when those guys working 18 hour days oustide and on their feet take up parking spaces. Don’t get me wrong, I like that they want to work and pay taxes. I just don’t want to be inconvenienced.

Sorry I missed this, Kol Nidre kept me away. Pictures to be posted?

This has nothing to do with NIMBYism…most of us in the heights can deal with the movie shoots, but the last two shoots took up an abundance of parking and closed many streets…add to that, that this last shoot filmed on Yom Kippur til 11pm on a fri night is really too much to take.

Furthermore, half the street closures are filled with production crews vehicles, not actual filming…why aren’t they required to use the pay lot?

And let’s be honest here, if they filmed on Easter, everybody would be up in arms.
