Comments on: Is It Too Much To Ask $6.95 Million For This Hicks Street Townhouse In Brooklyn Heights? http://brooklynheightsblog.com/archives/65171 Dispatches from America's first suburb Fri, 22 Nov 2024 16:27:00 +0000 hourly 1 http://wordpress.org/?v=4.2.2 By: HicksOnHickshttp://brooklynheightsblog.com/archives/65171/comment-page-1#comment-541980 Wed, 22 Jan 2014 18:13:00 +0000 http://brooklynheightsblog.com/?p=65171#comment-541980 I’ve lived on Hicks between State and Joralemon as well as 133 Henry (near Clark) and the Archway at 180 Montague. 180 Montague was by far the loudest. Hicks street is only a little louder than Henry. It really only gets loud when BQE is backed up and some impatient, rude people take Hicks as an alternate and lean on their horns.

The 224 is in and out of the firehouse all day and all night. However, they are great neighbors who never turn their sirens on until they hit the first intersection (where 273 Hicks is located).

That would get my nerves living there. It is a nice street otherwise.

it’s nice work if you can get it!

Most days the truck doesn’t go out at all. When it does (sometimes for food), it doesn’t use its siren in the vicinity of the firehouse.

Can’t speak to the inside, of course, but they did a really nice job with the ‘grounds’ around.
