Streisand had in fact shunned her native borough of Brooklyn until Barclays opened an arena.

Ms. Striesand did return to Brooklyn one time her appearance at BAM when campaigning for David Dinkins second term as Mayor the woman from Malibu had been booed so loud that David Dinkins had to call for order.

We wish that this sensation would create a community center or the like for Brooklyn with her name on it at this time we have nothing.
