A perp stole more than $6,000 from a newspaper vendor on the corner of Montague and Henry streets on September 29. The thug grabbed the vendor’s bag as the victim unpacked paper around 9 a.m.
A man was robbed during a stroll on the Promenade just after 11 a.m. on October 1. The thief asked the 41-year-old man for a quarter, and when the man pulled out his wallet, the thief snatched it and fled. The wallet contained $11 and a debit card.
A woman had her pocketbook stolen on October 1 on the corner of Hoyt and Livingston streets. The purse contained her Social Security card and credit car.
A thief made off with a woman’s handbag containing $940 in cash after she left it behind at a restaurant on Nevins Street near Livingston Street. The incident occurred after the woman left the bag behind around 6:45 p.m. on September 30, and returned to find the bag, containing the cash and her credit cards, missing.
